Nursery decor

Since Kimmy asked about nursery colors yesterday, I thought I would share our pick with you today.

I need your honest opinions about it, so please share! First, even though I picked it out months ago (from Burlington Coat Factory), I just found out that it is available through Babies R Us, Target, and Walmart. So, I'm wondering if you've seen it used before...is it too popular?

My second question is what color(s) would you paint the room? Our crib and changing table are a light oak color. The trim and doors are white. The room has 3 windows in it, so it is pretty bright.
Isn't this mobile too cute? I think the mobile is what sold Rod on this set.

I've never seen this set. It's beautiful. I would go with that light green to do the walls in.

Ive never seen this set either, but its stinkin' adorable! If you could take one of the lil fishies in that was a lighter green like Kimmy said that would be real soothing I think. You could never go wrong though with plain ol white especially if you think you may change the room as he becomes a toddler or outgrows the crib.

I too never saw this set but I love it! I think a light green or blue would be really nice. I too am leaning towards light green :)

PS Gabriel just said your baby's name is "Tessa" lol

My vote is also for a light green. That way if you decide to keep it as a nursery and have a little girl later you can still use it. (But light blue would work well for the same thing) We did bold green and blue with our light oak crib, but I'm all about the bold and bright colors. :p

That set is adorable! I've never seen it either. Any of the colors of the fishes would work great. My nursery is small so I only painted the bottom half and did a border in the middle. Makes the room not so small. But if your room is large enough, definitely do the whole wall. The green would be really cool.

Love the green idea, too! But like Angela, I'm about bold and bright and since babies like that, that's what I plan on doing. Not the red, black and white, but something along the lines to get the brain a hoppin'!

Personally, I am of the school of thought that either the decor or the room itself needs to be bright (not blinding bright but colorful). Since this decor is muted in color, I would go with a nice deep blue for your room color.

Good luck!
