31 weeks already

I can't believe we're already to 31 weeks. It seems like time is flying by now. I'm starting to get really anxious to have the nursery painted. My goal is to have it done by the first week of February so we can put all the baby shower gifts in there!

To the left is a picture of what a baby looks like at 31 weeks. It's pretty amazing that he's that big. I can definitely agree that he is cramped up like that though, because I feel him trying to stretch his legs out through my abdomen. He's been awfully wiggly lately.

I got to feel him battling hiccups last night. It was so cute, I almost woke Rod up.

I'm a huge fan of the Jon & Kate Plus 8 show on TLC. The other day I realized that Baby Kerbs is now further along in his gestation than their sextuplets were at birth. It is so cool to think that there is a little human inside me!

I tried to find a picture of Jon and Kate's sextuplets at birth, but could not find one that would allow me to copy it. So, I've included a more recent picture of the Gosselin family for your viewing enjoyment. It is also a reminder that any time I am worried about how we will handle life with a baby, I just think about their hectic lives. If they can do it with 8, we can do it with 1!

Can you feel his position? Do you think he's head down already? Exciting :)

No, I can't tell which way he's facing. Can people really feel that?

Hopefully your little Sam is head down and ready to go!

I could until maybe 2 weeks ago or so. Now it makes me achy to poke around on my belly like that. Not which was his face was looking out, but general parts--like oh that's his head, that's his feet, there's his torso. The nurses liked it, b/c it made it easier to find the heart beat each month at the appts.

My mom said I got hiccups a lot and would also go under her ribs and she'd have to push me down. My friend is always really good at knowing which body part is poking out.... "oh look at his butt!"

Aren't hiccups great! I loved that. When my baby had hiccups I could tell which way she was facing based on where I felt the hiccups. Most of the bumping is at his/her head.
I too love J&K+8! Whenever I'm totally overwhelmed, I think about how easy I've got it with only one! 8 would be totally crazy.
